Hosted by Roger and Robyn Walker, 1 Wootten Drive, Bonnet Hill 9.30 am – 3pm
Roger has requested that any passengers or bee gear should be dropped off at the top of the drive before parking your car at the bottom of the drive on the left or the right. Please do not bring your dogs. BEE SUITS SHOULD BE WORN.
9.30 President’s welcome
followed by hands on activities including – Opening hives, Frame making, Extracting honey, Queen rearing with grafting demonstration, splitting hives and bee disease surveillance. (Please bring your bee suit), Mead demonstration
Displays of various equipment and trade stalls such as Hollander Imports, Heritage Honey, Tassie Bee Boxes, a horticulturalist, Biosecurity, and more
12.00 Guest appearance : “The Old Pretenders”
Lunch – sausages, hamburgers and drinks available at a small cost
Auction of donated items such as bee gear, books, trees, wax foundation etc
